# Account Settings

> End-user guide for updating profile details, managing password access, and deleting an account.

Open `/account` to manage your personal Uppzy account settings.

## What you can do

* View your account email
* Update profile details
* Change password
* Set a first password if your account was created with Google sign-in
* Delete the account

## Profile Information

The Profile Information section shows your personal details.

The email field is read-only. It identifies your account and cannot be edited on this screen.

Editable fields include:

* Name
* Surname
* Phone

To update your profile:

1. Change the fields you want to update.
2. Click **Update Profile**.
3. Review the confirmation dialog.
4. Confirm the update.

If you do not make any changes, the update button remains unavailable.

## Password Security

Use the Password Security section when you want to change how you sign in.

If your account already has a password, enter:

* Current Password
* New Password
* New Password (Confirm)

The new password and confirmation must match.

If your account was created with Google sign-in and does not yet have a password, Uppzy shows a **Set your first password** message. In that case, you can create an email/password sign-in without entering a current password.

Use a trusted password manager and avoid reusing passwords from other services.

## Confirmation dialog

Profile and password changes use a confirmation dialog before saving.

If the dialog appears:

* Review the change
* Choose **Update** to save
* Choose **Cancel** to go back without saving

## Account Deletion

The Account Deletion section permanently deletes the account and related workspace data available to that account.

Before deleting:

* Confirm that you no longer need the account
* Export or copy any information you are responsible for keeping
* Make sure the team has another owner or admin if the workspace should continue
* Remove or transfer any active operational responsibility first

To delete:

1. Click **Delete Account**.
2. Read the warning.
3. Confirm only if you are sure.

Deletion cannot be undone.

## User checklist

* Keep your profile details current.
* Use a strong password if you use email/password sign-in.
* Do not delete the account until your team has a continuity plan.
* Treat deletion as permanent.
