The Instagram integration lets the selected domain receive and answer Instagram direct messages through Uppzy. Manage it from the Integrations page. This integration may be available only on certain plans.

Before you connect

Before starting, confirm that:
  • You selected the correct domain in Uppzy.
  • You have permission to manage the Instagram account and related Facebook Page.
  • Browser pop-ups are allowed for the setup flow.
  • Your Reference Documents and assistant setup are ready for customer messages.

Connect Instagram

  1. Open Integrations for the selected domain.
  2. Find the Instagram card.
  3. Choose Connect Instagram.
  4. Complete the Meta onboarding flow in the popup or redirected window.
  5. Return to Uppzy after the flow completes.
  6. Confirm that the Instagram card now shows Integration Details.
  7. Turn the switch on when you are ready for the integration to be active.
If the setup flow is cancelled or does not complete, start again from the Instagram card.

Connected state

When Instagram is connected, the card shows Integration Details. The details window can show:
  • Instagram account information
  • Instagram username when available
  • Related Facebook Page when available
Use these details to confirm that the correct Instagram account is connected to the selected domain.

Enable or disable Instagram

Use the switch on the Instagram card to control whether the integration is active.
  • On: Instagram conversations can be handled through the connected configuration.
  • Off: the connection remains saved, but the integration is inactive.
Use Off when you want to pause Instagram without removing the connection.

Delete the Instagram connection

Use Delete from Integration Details when you want to disconnect Instagram from the selected domain. Before deleting, confirm that:
  • You are on the correct domain.
  • The connected Instagram account is the one you intend to disconnect.
  • Your team is ready for Instagram replies to stop using this connection.

Test checklist

After connecting Instagram:
  1. Confirm the card shows Integration Details.
  2. Confirm the account or username is correct.
  3. Confirm the switch is on when you want the integration active.
  4. Send a test direct message.
  5. Confirm the answer matches your Reference Documents and assistant setup.
  6. Review Chat History and Statistics after testing.

Troubleshooting

If the connection does not appear after setup:
  1. Refresh the Integrations page.
  2. Confirm the Meta flow completed successfully.
  3. Check whether your browser blocked the setup window.
  4. Confirm that you started from the correct domain in Uppzy.
  5. Try connecting again.
If messages do not behave as expected, review the selected domain’s Reference Documents, Widget Setup, and Chat History before changing the integration.
