The WordPress Plugin card helps you install Uppzy on a WordPress website. Use this option when the selected domain is a WordPress site and you prefer plugin-based installation.

What the card shows

The WordPress Plugin card can show:
  • Current setup status, such as Verified or Ready to install
  • A link to the official WordPress plugin page
  • A Copy Public Key button
  • Install Steps
Use this card to coordinate installation between Uppzy and your WordPress admin area.

Install from WordPress

  1. Open Integrations for the selected domain.
  2. Find the WordPress Plugin card.
  3. Choose View on WordPress.org to open the official plugin listing.
  4. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
  5. Search for “Uppzy AI Chatbot”.
  6. Install and activate the plugin from the official listing.
  7. Open Settings > Uppzy AI Chatbot inside WordPress.
  8. Copy the public key from Uppzy.
  9. Paste the public key into the WordPress plugin settings.
  10. Save the WordPress settings.
  11. Return to Uppzy and check whether the card status updates after the widget is detected.

Copy Public Key

Use Copy Public Key when WordPress asks for the key for the selected domain. Handle it carefully:
  • Copy it only from the selected domain in Uppzy.
  • Paste it only into the Uppzy WordPress plugin settings for the matching website.
  • Do not edit it manually.
  • Do not mix keys between different domains.

Install Steps

Use Install Steps when you want the setup instructions and the public key in one place. This is useful when another teammate manages WordPress installation. If another person will complete the installation, send them only the instructions and the public key for the correct domain. Avoid adding passwords, private login details, or customer data to setup messages.

Status

The card status helps you understand whether Uppzy has detected activity from the WordPress site.
  • Ready to install: the plugin setup may not be completed or has not been detected yet.
  • Verified: the widget appears to be connected for the selected domain.
After saving plugin settings in WordPress, open the website in a new browser window and then refresh Uppzy.

Test checklist

After installation:
  1. Confirm the WordPress plugin is active.
  2. Confirm the public key came from the correct Uppzy domain.
  3. Confirm the website shows the chatbot widget.
  4. Confirm the WordPress Plugin card status updates after activity is detected.
  5. Send a test message in the website widget.
  6. Review Chat History and Statistics after testing.
