The WhatsApp integration lets the selected domain receive and answer WhatsApp conversations through Uppzy. Manage it from the Integrations page. This integration may be available only on certain plans.

Before you connect

Before starting, confirm that:
  • You selected the correct domain in Uppzy.
  • You have permission to manage the WhatsApp business account you want to connect.
  • Browser pop-ups are allowed for the setup flow.
  • Your Reference Documents and Widget Setup are ready enough for real customer conversations.

Connect WhatsApp

  1. Open Integrations for the selected domain.
  2. Find the WhatsApp card.
  3. Choose Connect WhatsApp.
  4. Complete the Meta onboarding flow in the popup or redirected window.
  5. Return to Uppzy after the flow completes.
  6. Confirm that the WhatsApp card now shows Integration Details.
  7. Turn the switch on when you are ready for the integration to be active.
If the setup flow is cancelled or does not complete, start again from the WhatsApp card.

Connected state

When WhatsApp is connected, the card shows Integration Details. The details window can show:
  • Phone number information
  • Display number when available
  • Business name when available
Use these details to confirm that the correct WhatsApp account is connected to the selected domain.

Enable or disable WhatsApp

Use the switch on the WhatsApp card to control whether the integration is active.
  • On: WhatsApp conversations can be handled through the connected configuration.
  • Off: the connection remains saved, but the integration is inactive.
Use Off when you want to pause WhatsApp without removing the connection.

Delete the WhatsApp connection

Use Delete from Integration Details when you want to disconnect WhatsApp from the selected domain. Before deleting, confirm that:
  • You are on the correct domain.
  • Your team is ready for WhatsApp conversations to stop using this connection.
  • You understand that you may need to reconnect later if you want to use WhatsApp again.

Test checklist

After connecting WhatsApp:
  1. Confirm the card shows Integration Details.
  2. Confirm the switch is on when you want the integration active.
  3. Confirm the displayed business or phone number matches the account you intended to connect.
  4. Send a test message through the connected WhatsApp channel.
  5. Confirm the answer matches your Reference Documents and assistant setup.
  6. Review Chat History and Statistics after testing.

Troubleshooting

If the connection does not appear after setup:
  1. Refresh the Integrations page.
  2. Confirm the Meta flow completed successfully.
  3. Check whether your browser blocked the setup window.
  4. Confirm that you started from the correct domain in Uppzy.
  5. Try connecting again.
If messages do not behave as expected, review the selected domain’s Reference Documents, Widget Setup, and Chat History before changing the integration.
